Case study: Claim against Health Trust
We were instructed to act for a Client who had been wrongly diagnosed as HIV positive for six years and wanted to pursue a claim against his Health Trust. Proceedings were issued but ultimately an out-of-court settlement was reached. Our client received a substantial six-figure payout plus legal costs without having to suffer the stress of a Trial.
Case study: Family property dispute
Our Client jointly owned a residential property with his two brothers. The brothers had long since fallen out and refused to speak to each other. One of the brothers commenced proceedings in the local County Court for an Order for Sale of the property. Ultimately, we successfully negotiated a settlement of the action on the basis that each brother received an agreed percentage of the net proceeds of sale with our firm conducting the sale.
